Mainly Music

Over the past few years Mainly Music has had a renewal. Rev Guy Benton leads the upfront dancing and singing in which 20+ people join and participate on a regular basis. Heather Miller leads the team and has lots of long standing connections with many of the families and children. Mainly Music provides a great opportunity to meet, engage with and invite families to join us as part of this community of faith. God is moving in the conversations we have each week and relationships are being built.

A regular morning at Mainly Music consists of sitting on church pew cushions, dancing and singing to the songs, and then enjoying a famed morning tea together. The photo above is captured during the morning tea and toys section.

There are many favourite songs that were enjoyed this morning:
- The Welcome Song (A Wonderful Day to Make Music)
- The Funky Monkey Exercise
- God made me to...
- Where is Thumbkin? (an oldie but a goodie)

This week after Mainly Music (led by Heather) we began a discipleship group with the leaders (sometimes called a Huddle). This is a chance to disciple one another in amongst the serving and connecting. This is part of our Mission Action Plan as we grow 5 discipleship groups.

This year my hope is that through the relationships built we can find a stepping stone for some families or people to join our community at church (maybe Alpha or families house church). We will need prayer, God to work and to seek the people who are responsive to Him but that is when we know that the gospel is good news!
