Here's what the Deacons are asking from you:
Grab a leaf from the noticeboard by the office and write on it two things: 1. An 8 word mission - can you state what All Saints is trying to do in 8 words or less. The limit will help provide clarity around what is important. For example the Anglican Movements mission is: "We’re a transformative movement of local faith communities." 2. What are the 3 core values that All Saints stands for? For example: Hospitality, Community Outreach, Whanaungatanga etc. Then stick it on the vine (pictured above) outside the office. Before August 15th. Why are we doing this? We want to collate and collect all the ideas from you so that we can make a good informed discernment about the vision and values for All Saints going forward for the next 5 years. What do you care about? What rested with you about other visions over the years? What does All Saints look like in 5 years? If you have any questions then talk to one of the Deacons. We are seeking a Church Centre Coordinator who will support our Church to be a hospitable space to our neighbours and hirers.
The All Saints Church Centre Co-ordinator will support and uphold the values and vision of All Saints Church. You will market the availability of the All Saints Church Centre for conferences, events and meetings. The Centre Co-ordinator will be the liaison person between All Saints and Centre hirers: answering enquiries, quoting hiring rates, providing hirer support as required, and ensuring the Centre environment is kept in top condition. You will also closely co- ordinate with the Church Administrator to facilitate All Saints’ use of the Centre. Job description is available by emailing [email protected] Apply by sending a covering letter and a copy of your C.V to, Reverend Andrew Spence, at [email protected]. Part-time - 10 hours a week. Immediate start. Applications close on Friday 6 August 2021. All Saints has put in a huge effort fundraising for the Family 2 Family Foodbank Appeal.
The challenge was for every family in All Saints to donate one bag of goods and many of the families have done just that. Sitting in the office at All Saints now is a huge amount of goods that will be taken along to the foodbank so that many families can also have supplies that are needed for their homes. We are super proud of the effort that everyone has made and the generosity of All Saints is so great! This year we are planning an All Saints Mens Tramp.
Friday 12th - Saturday 13th November 2021. (24 hours) Get it in your diaries early lads and head over to the website www.allsaints.org.nz/tramp for more information and also to register your interest so that we can send out some more pointed information. This is an open invite to you and your sons, friends, family. Lets get out in the bush and have a good time together. |
