A huge thank you to everyone for your support as I’ve ridden the Tour Aotearoa and raised funds for the Breast Cancer Foundation. I’m truly grateful for all the funds given, messages of support and people glued to their computers tracking my progress down New Zealand!
We’ve raised over $7,000 towards this great cause – thank you! I’ve also had multiple requests since I’ve returned from people wanting to give to this great cause and you can still give through my Breast Cancer Foundation fundraising page at https://fundraise.bcf.org.nz/fundraisers/davidbutterfield/david--s-tour-aotearoa-ride.
It was a fantastic ride from Cape Reinga down to Bluff (okay maybe not the last 20-30km on 90 Mile Beach) and I loved meeting all the awesome people, the tracks and route, and seeing quite a varied slice of New Zealand. I finished in Bluff on the afternoon of Tuesday 19th having ridden for 24 days, covered ~3,000km, climbed ~35,000 metres and somehow lost >9kg’s despite all the extra food I consumed…. Ngā mihi nui David Comments are closed.
